今天推荐的副词在托福写作中非常实用，着实让考官眼前一亮~

副词Adverb，简称adv.

是指在托福句子中表示行为或状态特征的词，用以修饰动词、形容词、其他副词或全句，表示时间、地点、程度、方式等概念。

副词可以放在句首、句中、句尾。

要注意放在句中时：主语+副词+动词；主语+be/can/have等助动词+副词+动词。

副词是修饰性的文字，有时候修饰性的文字太多会让人感觉文字不够简洁，所以要切合时宜地使用，以免造成辞藻堆砌。

当我们可以简洁清楚地让对方明白我们想表达的意思时，我们就能轻松驾驭文字了。

correspondingly 相应地

英英释义：accompanying/similar especially in position or purpose

同近义词：united/consistent/comparative/solid/matching

例：And the beaker on the left will be emptied and the beaker on the right will fill up correspondingly.

左边的烧杯将会慢慢地变空，与之相应的是，右边的烧杯将会渐渐地变满。

 
proportionately 成比例地

英英释义：to a proportionate degree/in proportion

同近义词：appropriately / commensurately

例：In view of the technological improvements in the last few years, business will require in the future proportionately fewer workers than ever before.

可以使用在举例的时候，突出某一事物最显著的地方。

英英释义：in the order given

同近义词：severally/separately

如果需要在句后列出2个或者2个以上的数据，就需要在数据的最后加上respectively这个词，表达出和前述主语一一对应的关系。

请注意其位置和标点——一定是在数据罗列完成之后写。且其前面加不加逗号均可。在科学类学术文章中，一般要求加上逗号。而普通的托福写作中，只需要直接写就行。

例：The figures now are 67 and 78 respectively, and still rising.

如今，这两个数字已分别上升至67岁和78岁，而且还在一直上升。

realistically 从现实角度来看

英英释义：in a realistic manner

同近义词：practically/to the life

可以用在强调不希望某件事会这样发展，但事实确实如此。

例：But realistically you can't rely on one technique.

但实际上，你不可能只依赖一种解决方法。

例：The only one we can realistically check is the last.

但我们实际上可以核实的信息只有最后那个邮箱地址。

progressively 逐渐地

英英释义：advancing in amount or intensity

同近义词：increasingly/more and more

意思和用法几乎等同于 steadily。当然，除了表达逐渐地，这个词本意还有：有远见地。

例：Renewable energy will become progressively more important as time goes on.

随着时间的推移，可再生能源将逐渐变得更重要。

reportedly 据报道

英英释义：according to reports or other information

相比于用“it is reported that”会更加简洁。

例：Technical engineers who worked on the plane prior to takeoff are reportedly going to be questioned by the police.

据报道，起飞前在飞机上工作的技术工程师将接受警方的询问。
